Phase 4: Conversion & Monetization

ClickTale: Look Over Your Web Visitors’ Shoulders (for FREE)

Ok, ClickTale takes the prize for THE COOLEST free conversion optimization tool for marketers I’ve seen in a long time. You can watch movies of your visitors’ actual browsing sessions… very cool, especially for landing pages.

Conversion Optimization

What is conversion optimization, you ask? The term refers to making changes to your web pages so they convert browsers to buyers or visitors to leads more often. Pretty important stuff!

I have an extensive web analytics background. A few years back, I was a Sr. Consultant at WebSideStory — now known as Omniture/Adobe. I’ve seen enterprise-level solutions similar to ClickTale that cost 10 to even 50 times more than ClickTale’s premium service (i.e. TeaLeaf.com)

Although ClickTale’s premium service is a super deal, you will probably do just fine with their free service.

Here’s a good quick overview of their tool..

In Their Own Words…

ClickTale fills a gap left by traditional web analytics that only measures activity between pages, by delivering innovative In-Page Web Analytics that reveal the mystery of what visitors ACTUALLY do inside website pages. This allows you to analyze and optimize website performance and usability. Our unique solution provides movies of your visitors’ actual browsing sessions, heatmaps of aggregate behavior inside the web page, and advanced behavioral analytics.
